About Us

RobotPixel (RPX) is a full-service custom development studio located just North of Indianapolis, Indiana. We specialize in websites and web-based applications and offer a host of services including front-end WordPress development, custom themes and UI/UX design. We've been around in one form or another since 2010, but in November of 2024 RobotPixel became RobotPixel, LLC and began to offer it's services full-time to both new and existing clients.

RobotPixel has nearly 30 years – the entire existence of the modern internet – of experience building websites for businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations. We are deeply interested in the web & it's related technologies, current trends and it's future.

Our AI Policy

RobotPixel does NOT use Generative AI (or similar tools) for any creative tasks, project planning, design or client communication/support. Depending on the project we may use GenAI tools to assist in unit testing, assessing application security, evaluating/translating 3rd-party code or with automating data-related tasks. We have been building websites for nearly 30 years and largely continue to work as we always have.

Matt Zimmerman - Lead Developer // Owner

Matt has been building websites since 1996 (back when frames & tables were a real big deal). In 1999 he joined Omega Design Studio as an intern and a few months later as one if it's first employees. At Omega, he designed and coded websites for a range of local and national companies, including Bridgestone/Firestone Racing, Mazak Corporation and several for Eli Lilly.

Matt stayed with Omega until it's closure/merger with dgs Marketing in 2021. With dgs Matt branched out into WordPress development, and helped design & build around a dozen sites of varying complexity. In late 2024, Matt left dgs to pursue RobotPixel full-time and continues to support many of the original Omega clients.

Matt lives in Noblesville, IN with his wife & daughter. When he's not building things out of pixels, he's probably building things out of wood or computer parts. Lots of building. Or playing video games. He has a BFA from Herron School of Art/IUPUI in Visual Communication.
